In 2018 Ms. Best was named Chief Performance and Strategy Officer at Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center. She began her public health career at HSNHC as the Program Director of Project IMPACT (Infant Mortality Prevention through Activating Community Teams), a maternal and child health program. Since leaving HSNHC, Ms. Best continued her work focusing on maternal and child health. She has over 20 years of service to the Federal Government with the US Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service and the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Her most recent appointment was as the Region I Project Officer and Maternal and Child Health Consultant in HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alabama State University and a Master of Business Administration from Curry College.
