Gail joined the Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center as its first Chief Development and Communications Officer to lead fundraising, communications, government relations and external affairs. Since joining Harvard Street, first as a consultant, she helped launch a marketing and re-branding campaign, produced its 50th Anniversary gala, and in 2020-2021, with Board and CEO, will launch a capital campaign to raise money for a new state-of-the art Harvard Street health center to be located in Dorchester, MA. Prior to joining HSNHC, Gail led Gail Jackson Communications (GJC), an independent consultancy specializing in communications, fundraising, diversity & inclusion marketing, community outreach strategy, political affairs, and events management. Throughout her career, she had several leadership roles with corporate communications, political affairs, and fundraising with private and public organizations. Gail’s consultant clients included public clients including Action for Boston Community Development, American Red Cross, Crispus Attucks Children’s Center, Henri Termeer Initiative – with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. & MassBio, La Alianza Hispana, RCC, Roxbury Multi-Service Center, and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) – She has spearheaded global initiatives with corporate clients including Avon Corporation, Pfizer, and diversity & inclusion marketing with Partners HealthCare. A strategic thought leader who is passionate about women’s issues and justice for all, Gail is the most recent past president and a current board member of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus and serves on the board of directors for the American Civil Liberties Union of MA (ACLUM).
