Celesta Shropshire is super excited to be a part of Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center. She brings 20+ years of experience in the non-profit sector and 10+ years in the Human Resource Field. Celesta’s advantageous journey began in non-profit while an intern studying Human Development at Boston College. Her then internship sparked her love for serving her community (Dorchester/Roxbury) which she has faithfully contributed (Katrina Relief project, mentor to several pre-teen and teenagers at Mother Caroline & Youth and Police in Partnership; conducted job readiness workshops; workplace etiquette workshops, volunteered in clothing drives, soup kitchens, and Spaulding rehabilitation… just to name a few). She has received several awards and accolades for her hard work and dedication to her passion turned career. While escalating her expertise in employee relations, employee development, strategic planning, budgeting, and community engagement… under the direction of the President & CEO, Celesta plans to build on the vision and goals of HSNHC to become the Health Center of choice within the community. When Celesta is not busy in the community, she enjoys music, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, watching Patriots games, fellowshipping at her church (St. Paul A.M.E.), networking and good old retail therapy.
