TEN updated headshot 2Tiffanie Cherie Ellis-Niles is a founding partner of Lyles and Niles, LLP, a general practice Law Firm on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Tiffanie focuses her practice on bankruptcy, domestic relations and landlord/tenant disputes. Tiffanie says “I am not sure what exactly drove my desire to want to pursue a career in Law. I recall knowing in high school that I wanted to go to law school. Something about the profession was just interesting to me”. Tiffanie also has extensive experience representing clients in family law, real estate transactions, estate planning, small claims and contract matters. In leading up to her career in Law, we asked Tiffanie who some of her mentors were? “I consider my mentors a number of different people who have helped to guide me through this journey call life. From my social studies teacher in middle school, to my counselor in high school, to my boss at my first job, to my mentor in law school. I can honestly say that there have been several people along the way who have help to shape my professional and personal life”.MBLA Board of Directos 2017Fall Reception Tiffanie is certified with the Committee of Public Counsel Family and Children division and represents children and parents involved with the Department of Children and Families. In 1999, Tiffanie received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston and her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in 2004. She was admitted to practice in Massachusetts in 2005. In 2010, Tiffanie was admitted to practice in the Massachusetts Bankruptcy Courts.MBWA 2017 Board Swearing Cermony with Justice Kim Budd Tiffanie is the immediate past President of the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys and continues to sit on the broad. Additionally, Tiffanie serves on the board of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and The Brockton NAACP Branch. In 2014 and 2015, Tiffanie was recognized as a Massachusetts Rising Stars, by Lawyers Weekly Super Lawyers. In 2010, Tiffanie graduated from the Initiative for Diversity in Civic Leadership. In her down time, Tiffanie likes to read, and she reflex on a book she just finished reading Build your Own Way by Taisha Crayton, It’s a motivating book with a personal story of how one woman overcame several struggles at many different stages of her life but managed to make a way when all seemed hopeless and or loss. Tiffanie is a family women that lives in Brockton, MA with her husband and children. And she’s inspired by these words “We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated”, by Maya Angelo – as a black, women, mother, wife and attorney I face many challenges but things still have to be done, so I keep going.
