Linda Champion Runs for Suffolk County DA!

IMG_0333 Linda ChampionAttorney Linda Champion was raised by her mother, Tae, a Korean immigrant. Her mother seeking a better life for her family moved in the late 80s to Lowell, Massachusetts. She worked in technology quality control during the day and at night worked as a McDonald’s shift manager to support her children. Her work ethic and the seed of determination is firmly planted in Attorney Champion. Attorney Champion graduated from Lowell Middlesex Academy, and moved to Boston at 18 when she enrolled in evening classes at Newbury College where she earned an Associate’s degree graduating cum laude. Attorney Champion earned her Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University. While in college Linda worked for Suffolk University as an administrative assistant and as a night legal secretary at the Law Offices of Patrick K.B. Tracy. During law school Linda worked as a paralegal for Palmer & Dodge and after graduation for Sovereign Bank.

Attorney Champion began her legal career under the tutelage of Attorney Joseph Feaster as an Associate at McKenzie & Associates, where she was trained in real estate, zoning and community development.

Attorney Champion was a victim of a financial crime in 2007, which inspired her to shift her focus to public service to protect the residents of Suffolk County. Since 2007, she has worked tirelessly in Suffolk County to serve victims of financial crimes and to help families with foreclosure prevention, combat predatory lending, and with consumer protection matters. She continues to volunteer and work with the community as an educator teaching first-time home buyer classes for Urban Edge and area community development agencies. She is a lecturer for the City of Boston first time home buyer program teaching a condominium course.

In 2011, Attorney Champion was appointed by District Attorney Dan Conley as an Assistant District Attorney and served in the Juvenile Court, Dorchester and Roxbury District Courts. In 2013 she was promoted to serve as a Superior Court prosecutor and worked in the Elder and Disabled Victims group. Attorney Champion is currently on an unpaid leave of absence from the Department of Industrial Accidents where she serves the Commonwealth as an Assistant General Counsel litigating industrial accident claims. Linda has worked tirelessly throughout her career.  Her pasted positions consists of:

Needless to say, she will work hard for Suffolk County as District Attorney, and she still makes time for her parents Tae and Young Nam,  her daughter Tae-lor Pina and dog Bruno!
